Hello,
We understand this is covid times but our disappointment is around the lack of communication and under-delivering on what we expected to be a clean and professional delivery process. Again, we know this is “student run” to a certain extent, so our expectations were in keeping with that. However, this was a mis-handled job from start to finish.
The bed had been ordered back on 7/23/2020. We reached out on 8/16/2020 via e:mail to confirm our delivery timing to Charlottesville on 8/18/2020. Our e:mail was the first bit of correspondence around this order and it was not responded to until the evening of 8/17/2020 telling us the bed was delayed until Thursday or Friday of the week. The correct bed actually just got set up in our son’s room last night 8/30/2020- 2 weeks after initially promised.
At first, there was a tremendous amount of confusion and later there was a lot of back and forth. The mattress we ordered was not ready yet due to covid. We were given a different sized mattress as a temp but that could only last so long. This mattress was delivered late and came in the car of a student. The correct queen mattress was delivered via FedEx to our son’s apartment complex. This meant that our son needed to bring it into his room and remove the temporary bed for pick up. it’s just all much more trouble than it needed to be and what you purported it to be.
None of this is obviously the end of the world but we spent a lot of time and effort trying to get something fairly simple done right.
Sorry to deliver this in such a direct way but it’s important that you should know.
